All,

On behalf of the staff of the unit, we hope you and your family are doing well! The staff continues to meet and develop new ways to keep the cadets engaged.

Saying that, we have developed “3016 SCAVENGER HUNT” to get the cadets outside and engaged in activity. This will work on navigation skills, fitness, enjoying the outdoors, while having some fun.

Instructions to be issued through the website this afternoon for a start time of Saturday until Tuesday at 1830hrs. If you haven’t registered through the website please do so ASAP.

As always, if you have any questions please let me know.

Update on Status of Cadet Program

Posted on April 16, 2020, 7:03 a.m.

Good morning,

It is with disappointment but complete understanding that I pass along this briefing offered by the Commander of the Canadian Cadets. https://youtu.be/yfoQfHLzZwk

As the General has stated, all cadets have been cancelled unit 31 August 2020 including summer training. Having said that the safety of our cadets is always paramount and will always be my top priority. The staff of the unit have met and have developed a plan to still continue activities through a virtual setting to include challenges within the unit. All cadets will be receiving a phone call from their Level Officer no later then next week.

I want to ensure you that the staff of the unit are keen to assist our cadets in anyway we can. Going forward you can expect the following;

  • 1. A virtual meeting for all the senior cadets by next week,
  • 2. Challenges for the cadets developed by the staff and senior cadets to keep them engaged,
  • 3. Virtual meetings with all cadets if necessary,
  • 4. Contentious updates as received,
  • 5. Virtual meetings for parents if required, and
  • 6. Assist cadets with mental health programs being offered if required.

Any questions of concerns please email me at brentewood77@gmail.com

WE WILL BE STRONG AND WE WILL BE BACK TRAINING!
