While many of the main operations of the corps are generally handled by Cadet Corps Instructors, we also rely on our large pool of volunteers to fill in as needed and the Airdrie Army Cadets are proud to have a high percentage of parents that are certified cadet volunteers (CVs).
Volunteers help with a wide variety of tasks including:
- Parent’s Association
- Car pooling (you do not have to be a CV in order to drive car pool)
- Helping with camps
- Running this website
- Handing out supplies
- A variety of other tasks as needed
The Airdrie Army Cadets consistently has one of the highest rates of registered volunteers in the province. We could not run the Airdrie Army Cadets at the current level without a lot of volunteers. We encourage parents to get certified to volunteer.
All volunteers are carefully screened. If you would like to volunteer, please submit the following:
- Two pieces of ID,
- The Canadian Police Record Check / Vulnerability Sector Screening (PRC/VSS),
- Fill out a ACLC Volunteer Registration form (form 10.1A),
- A photograph (preferably digital format),
- A Certificate of Service or Release from the CF if you have previous Canadian military service.
If you are interested in joining the Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC), please see here for more information.
