The Royal Alberta United Services Institute (RAUSI) Foundation Bursaries
The Royal Alberta United Services Institute (RAUSI) Foundation offers two annual bursaries of $5,000.00 each. While no Airdrie Army Cadets qualify for it at this time, it is something to keep in mind for the future.
- These bursaries are available to the children and grand children of Members of RAUSI, to members of Reserve Units of the Canadian Forces, and members of Army, Navy and Air Force Cadet Corps (i.e. Airdrie Army Cadets).
- Applicants must have home addresses located between within 110 km of Mewata Armoury.
- Applicants must be full time students registered in or attending any recognized post-secondary academic institution. Proof of acceptance is required.
For more information, see the RAUSI site.
The Duke Of Edinburgh’s Award
This award is not specific to Army Cadets, but we strongly suggest that all cadets look into this award. For more information, please see the page on The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Honourary Colonel Arthur J. Child Army Cadet League of Canada – Alberta Branch Scholarship
The Alberta Branch of the Army Cadet League has a $700 Scholarship to assist a CIC in commencing or continuing a post secondary school education through a recognized university, community college or equivalent institution. (NOTE: Due to low the low volume of applications, the last couple of scholarships have been bumped to $1000 per candidate although this might not continue).
