About the 3016 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps
This is the official home of the 3016 Airdrie Army Cadets. We accept girls and boys aged 12 to 18 years old in the Airdrie area including Beiseker, Crossfield, and North Calgary. There are no fees for the program and cadets can even make money going to camp during the summer! Even the uniforms are supplied free of charge by the Cadet Corps.
We do a wide variety of fun activities including camping, hiking, swiming, climbing, orienteering, leadership and marksmanship. We also enter in competions against other Alberta corps and hope to be even more active in local competitions in the future.

Joining in 2011-2012
For the 2011-2012 year, you can join or find out more by coming to the Airdrie Army Cadets Parade at Ralph McCall School (1505 1 Ave NW, Airdrie, Alberta) on September 14th at 6pm. After this, you are welcome to join at any time by coming to our weekly 6pm Wednesday night parade at Ralph McCall School. Please check the calender at the right of the website to make sure that we will be there that week though as we do sometimes go elsewhere for special events. New cadets are always welcome.
Please bring proof of age and insurance when registering.
Do the cadets learn how to handle rifles, and how much time do you like the parents to volunteer,as I’m a single mom with very little time avaiable. Thank for your time

Yes, that cadets learn to handle rifles. As for volunteering, that is up to you. We appreciate any help that we can get, but we do not have anything like a minimum required volunteer hours. We doing two casino days this year and would really appreciate any help that we can with that!
We are having an open house on Sept 14, 2011 from 7-9 pm, so come down and talk to us then or on most other Wednesday nights!
